Honshu is the backbone, home island of Japan, arcing from remote and holy mountains in the north to the warm climes of perrenial rice and heat in the south. At it's lower back reside great cities: Osaka and Tokyo, which contain between them Kyoto, capital of Japan for over a 1000 years, and Nara, more serene, more quiet, more ancient than her sister Kyoto.
